Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Information Technology (IT), the incumbent is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and optimizing activities related to the delivery of technology initiatives and projects. They ensure the implementation of effective, consistent delivery practices tailored to the organization's needs, while providing guidance to project managers, product managers, and IT business analysts under their supervision. Specifically, she must:

  • Assess the capacity of the teams under her responsibility to deliver, plan resource allocation according to organizational priorities, and arbitrate priorities when needs exceed available capacity.
  • Ensure a consolidated view of workload, dependencies, and constraints that may affect delivery commitments, and make recommendations to management regarding the feasibility and impact of decisions on organizational capacity.
  • Prepare, analyze, and manage the budgets for her sector's activities, design ways to optimize them, and take the necessary corrective actions.
  • Supervise the delivery activities of initiatives and projects within her sector and ensure coordination between business units, technology teams, and partners involved.
  • Ensure that business needs are properly analyzed, understood, and translated into actionable tasks, and facilitate the resolution of issues impacting progress. initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to scope, quality, cost, and schedule objectives, and support project managers and product managers in their interactions with stakeholders.
  • Follow up with internal and external clients to assess their satisfaction with delivered solutions.
  • Monitor agreements and negotiations with external suppliers within their area of activity and participate, in collaboration with tender managers, in the drafting and evaluation of bids related to projects in their area.
  • Ensure the consistent application, within their area, of the project management and business analysis methods, processes, tools, and best practices adopted by the IT Department.
  • Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, integration, and retention of resources within their area, establish clear performance expectations and objectives, and monitor their progress. The supervision, support, and coaching necessary for the professional development of employees.
  • Represent capacity issues, risks, and the progress of initiatives within their sector to management and governance bodies, and ensure follow-up on the implementation of resulting decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with other IT managers, particularly the Development and Integration Manager, to ensure integrated work planning and assess the impact of decisions on other sectors.
  • Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve organizational performance and delivery efficiency, and stay abreast of best practices and trends in product, project, and technology delivery management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other relevant university degree;
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (a (asset);
  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in IT delivery;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing IT delivery teams;
  • Proficiency in Agile, DevOps, and other product management and technology delivery methodologies;
  • Knowledge of project management and product delivery.
