You plan, lead, and control, in collaboration with the project and program team, all project activities in technology. You lead large-scale and strategic projects (from $1 million to > $5 million) related to one or more services to the City.
You identify and analyze user needs, develop a project plan, mobilize stakeholders, and manage the schedule, risk assessment, and budgets allocated to technological aspects. You support business solution delivery groups and various divisions as well as other centers of expertise in the execution of large-scale projects.
And more specifically:
- Ensures integrated management of IT projects and programs under their responsibility and ensures they meet the required quality, allocated budget, and timeline for the completion of each stage.
- Manages and develops a project charter, an integrated project plan, a resource plan, a risk and contingency management plan, as well as other artifacts related to IT project/program management.
- Participates in the management of human, material, and technical resources related to the IT project/program and ensures supplier management and contract administration while ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
- Ensures the application of the project and program methodology framework including continuous improvement and integration of new practices.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, software engineering, or computer science;
- Have six (6) years of relevant experience in budget management, portfolio management, project management, and IT governance;
