What we are looking for
Job Description
The Senior Full Stack Developer reports to the Chief Information Officer.
Main Responsibilities:
- The Senior Full Stack Developer is responsible for the design, development, evolution, and maintenance of the organization's applications. They work across the entire development chain, both front-end and back-end, applying best practices in software development, security, and architecture.
- They also act as a technical expert for the development team, participate in architectural decisions, conduct code reviews, and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes.
Software Development
- Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain native or cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android.
- Develop front-end and back-end components.
- Design and maintain REST or GraphQL APIs.
- Integrate internal systems and third-party services.
- Participate in technology choices and architectural directions.
- Optimize application performance, security, and stability.
- Fix bugs and ensure ongoing maintenance.
- Test on different devices, web browsers, and operating systems to ensure compatibility.
Architecture and Quality
- Participate in the design of solution architectures.
- Produce clean, maintainable, and reusable code.
- Implement unit, integration, and automated tests.
- Contribute to DevOps and CI/CD practices.
Documentation
- Document architectures, processes, and developments.
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation.
- Write documentation for support teams when necessary.
- Participate in knowledge sharing within the team.
Cross-departmental Collaboration
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, UX/UI, QA, and system administrators.
- Participate in requirements analysis and definition workshops.
- Advise teams on the best technical approaches.
- Support support teams with complex problems.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum or Kanban).
Continuous Improvement
- Conduct technological monitoring.
- Propose improvements to tools and processes.
- Participate in the evolution of development standards.
- Mentor and coach junior developers.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Full Stack development.
- Experience in developing enterprise applications.
- Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Experience in Agile methodologies.
Certifications (asset)
- Microsoft Azure Developer Associate
- Azure Solutions Architect
- Microsoft Certifications (.NET)
Technical skills required
- Excellent knowledge of Front-End development (React, Angular or Vue.js).
- Excellent mastery of Back-End development (.NET, Java, Node.js or equivalent).
- Good knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript.
- Proficiency with REST APIs and GraphQL.
- Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Good understanding of NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices.
- Good understanding of SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, and Design Patterns.
- Experience with OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
- Good understanding of application cybersecurity.
